Service Saturday

Hello Elders,

We just finished a great morning of spring clean-up service projects. We got a lot done, nobody was injured or burned, and finished in record time of about 2 hours. Our work list included the following:

  • Justeson's - clearing, mowing and weed wacking
  • Clarke's - edging, mowing, raking
  • Huhn's - raking leaves
  • Whitney's - cleaning gutters

Those in attendance were: Jordan Munns, Ken Danley, the Elders, Lew Olson and friends, Collin Lahue, Tanner Clark, Josh Maughan, Dan Munns, Ryan Munns, James Munns, Joey Snider, Bryan Melick, Ben Arrington, Sam Haught, Scott Farnsworth, Paul Farnsworth, Chris Sorrough, Richard Leon and Jared Justeson (I hope that was everyone).

It was great to get out there with everyone and work. Thanks to all that helped in organizing and serving in this project.

This week our lesson will be taught by Jonathan C. Cox on the last Priesthood Session Conference address given by President Hinckley - Slow To Anger. Here is the link: http://lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,23-1-775-23,00.html

Our spiritual thought for the week comes from the lesson: "Now, my dear brethren, in closing I plead with you to control your tempers, to put a smile upon your faces, which will erase anger; speak out with words of love and peace, appreciation, and respect. If you will do this, your lives will be without regret. Your marriages and family relationships will be preserved. You will be much happier. You will do greater good. You will feel a sense of peace that will be wonderful." President Gordon B. Hinckley

We love you all and look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
