Week of April 15th....Taxes Are Due!

Hello Elders,

Hopefully everyone got their taxes done by Tuesday... This week Brother Prather's back! He'll be teaching lesson number 7 in the Joseph Smith manual and here is the link for your reading enjoyment: http://lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=da135f74db46c010VgnVCM1000004d82620aRCRD&locale=0&sourceId=d859b00367c45110VgnVCM100000176f620a____&hideNav=1&contentLocale=0

We would also like to announce an upcoming fireside on financial preparedness. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the principles of debt management, family budgeting, financial planning, the importance of tithing, and general financial stability. Here are the details:

Date: April 27th
Place: Our chapel
Time: 7:00 pm
Speaker: Scott M. Farnsworth
Topic: Managing Money in Tough Times

Please also remember to include Jesse Huhn in your thoughts and prayers this week. I know we can help him to progress in gospel and get him to join us in our quorum meeting this month. But, it will take the faith and effort of all of us to accomplish this. We will council more about him at the start of class on Sunday.

The spiritual thought for this week comes from the lesson:
“The baptism of water, without the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost attending it, is of no use,” he declared. “They are necessarily and inseparably connected. An individual must be born of water and the spirit in order to get into the kingdom of God.” - Joseph Smith

Thank you all for everything you do to keep our quorum great. We love you all and look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
