Hello Elders
So much can happen when you're not in town. I received the bad news on Sunday night that Jon King Cox will no longer be a part of our quorum. If I were present last Sunday he never would have been sustained to the High Priests :)
We sure have enjoyed Jon in quorum - he was a good man. We loved the way he presented Shannon's lessons. He was a man with the voice like an angel, and we are glad we rarely heard him sing. He had a knack for telling stories, even if they weren't true. He will be missed by all his brethren. The bright side for us is that we didn't have to help him move, the bad side is now who is going to supply the Dr. Pepper at all our activities! May he rest in ...
In all seriousness Jon, we learned alot from you by your words and actions. I appreciate all the years we served together. I was able to see first hand the love and concern you had for the Elders quorum. Don't be a stranger.
Here's a shout out to the King:
Our lesson this week will be taught by Brother Prather. It's Chapter 21 in the manual. Here is the link:

Please take the time beforehand to read the lesson and highlight any important parts of it that you feel we can learn from.
We are in the middle of the month. Let's get out and make contact with our families and make sure everyone gets to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving dinner.
We are grateful for all you do
