Hello Elders,
DON'T FORGET OUR TEMPLE TRIP THIS FRIDAY NIGHT! We'll be leaving Big Lots in St. Cloud at 6:00 to make the 7:00 session for anyone who wants to carpool. We hope to see you there.
We'd like to officially announce the winner of the bowling championship, Ken Danley. It was a real nail-biter between him and Tyler Anderson, but Ken prevailed (partly because he brought his own shoes). Anyhow, it was a lot of fun and we can't wait until our next tournament.
This week our lesson will be chapter 11 "The Organization and Destiny of the True and Living Church" from the manual. This is a fantastic lesson on our important roles as members of the church. Here's the link for your reading enjoyment: http://lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=88021b08f338c010VgnVCM1000004d82620aRCRD&locale=0&sourceId=546720596a845110VgnVCM100000176f620a____&hideNav=1&contentLocale=0
The question we will council on will be: What can we do this week to build up the kingdom of God? Please take the time to consider this question and prepare for our council.
The spiritual thought for this week comes from the lesson: "The advancement of the cause of God and the building up of Zion is as much one man’s business as another’s. The only difference is, that one is called to fulfill one duty, and another another duty." -Joseph Smith
Lastly, this is our farewell post to all of our departing elders. Tyler, Justin, Christian and Rudy you will all be missed. Thank you for all your hard work and the strength you brought to our quorum.
We love you all and look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Joey
